Hales Corners Wisconsin was settled more than 160 years ago by Seneca and William Hale, and their father, Ebenezer Hale.  They came to this area  in 1836-37.  Hales Corners subsequently became a crossroads village and is now a suburb of Milwaukee.  W. Ben Hunt was a writer, artist, and leader in the outdoor movement who lived in Hales Corners from 1920 until his death in 1970.

Hales Corners is located in southeastern Wisconsin, southwest of Milwaukee.   The current Village of Hales Corners occupies about 3 square miles and has a population of 7,800.

Jimmie Johnson is nominated for two ESPN's ESPYs- in the "Best Male Athlete" and "Best Driver" categories.

CONCORD, N.C.—Voting is underway for the 2011 ESPYs and Jimmie Johnson has been nominated for Best Male Athlete and Best Driver.

Johnson, driver of the No. 48 Lowe’s Chevrolet, is the five-time defending NASCAR Sprint Cup champion. He finished the 2010 season by earning nine straight top-10 finishes on his way to a record-setting fifth title. In the Best Male Athlete category, he is competing with tennis player Rafael Nadal, NBA forward/center Dirk Nowitzki (Mavericks) and NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay).

Johnson’s competition in the Best Driver category includes NHRA’s Greg Anderson and John Force as well as Dario Franchitti, of the IndyRacing League.

Fans can help determine the winners by voting online at one of three sites: ESPN.com/espys, facebook.com/ESPN as well as on ESPN Mobile Web at http://espn.mobi. Voting will run from now until July 9.

The ESPYs will be televised live at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN on July 13.

Camaro takes center stage in the Transformers series as the character Bumblebee, a Rally Yellow Camaro. Transformers: Dark of the Moon, the third in the hit Transformers live-action movie series, is in theaters June 29, 2011. In conjunction with the release of the film, Chevrolet announces the 2012 Camaro Transformers Special Edition, which will be available in North America and several other markets around the world, including China, Japan, and parts of Europe, South America and the Middle East.

Offered on the top two trim levels — 2LT and 2SS — with the RS Appearance Package, the 2012 Transformers edition only improves upon the already immensely popular 2010 Transformers Special Edition. The 2012 Transformers look starts with a stripe design consistent with the actual Transformers: Dark of the Moon Bumblebee model: Rally Yellow exterior paint with exclusive carbon-fiber weave rally stripes that travel on each side of the hood bulge, upper horizontal front fascia surface, roof, decklid and spoiler. The Autobot® shield is incorporated throughout the design, including on the center caps of the 20" black-painted wheels(2) and embroidered into the headrests.

The 2012 Camaro Transformers Special Edition will be available for order starting June 27, with production slated to begin in mid- to late August. In the tradition of special edition Camaro models, this will be a limited-time offer.
